A collaborative group of specialist-trained Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) surgeons from the Austin Hospital HPB and Liver Transplant Unit, providing emergency cover at Warringal Private Hospital.

We manage all surgical emergencies relating to the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and biliary system, as well as general surgical emergencies. Our team provides the full range of open, laparoscopic, robotic and endoscopic procedures (including ERCP).

What We Provide

HPB Surgical Emergencies

All emergencies of the liver, pancreas, gallbladder and biliary tree managed by high-volume specialist surgeons.

Full Range of Techniques

Open, laparoscopic, robotic and endoscopic surgery including ERCP for pancreatic and biliary conditions.

Team or Individual Care

Patients may be referred to an individual surgeon or managed collaboratively by the whole team for optimal continuity.

Timely Response

Accepted referrals are managed promptly, with clinical decisions ideally reached within four hours (sooner for extreme emergencies).
